I am a Muslim, is Part 1 of a seven part series for use in Muslim schools. This unit is built around a set of paired stories, one from the Quran or Hadith and one a related modern story. Each lesson consists of the story pair, to be presented to the children orally or dramatically, and suggested guidelines and activities through which the values and related behaviours may be developed in them.
About the Author:
Susan Douglass is an American-born Muslim who accepted Islam in 1974. She received the Bachelor of Arts in History from the University of Rochester in 1972. She received the Master of Arab Studies from Georgetown University in 1992. She holds teaching certification in social studies from New York and Virginia.
